Who we are

The Ottawa chapter of panopti.ca, a Canadian fork of the DeFlock project. We map fixed automated licence plate readers (ALPRs) in the Ottawa area and advocate for transparency and oversight of surveillance technology before it becomes permanent infrastructure.

2026 municipal election

We are asking every candidate for mayor and city council to state their position on ALPR expansion and surveillance procurement, on the record. Responses will be published here before advance voting. Election day is October 26, 2026.
